Before implant surgery pre-existing disease must be removed and cured. Some diseases are not visible on x-ray such as previous abscess’s that appear to be fully healed on x-ray but dormant pathogens are still present
HA Grafts cause post operative swelling and require special care immediately after surgery. Bed rest and a clear liquid diet with 1.5% peroxide rinses keep the wound clean and minimize swelling.
The custom HA embedded implant is an excellent choice for thin or advanced bone atrophy as in the example to the right.
Patients must report any post operative pain or swelling immediately and present for remedial treatment immediately. Quickly attending to these signs and symptoms has proven to be highly effective in ensuring the desired health and function of dental implants.
